Guideline B: Foreign Influence

The United States will review all contact with foreign nationals to determine whether an applicant would be expected to resolve conflicts of interest in favor of the United States over any other country. If you have questionable foreign contacts or have been in contact with government or intelligence community personnel from a foreign country, your application for a clearance might be denied.
