Guideline F – Financial Considerations

The United States will review an applicant’s credit history for a couple of reasons. First, they will want to know if the applicant is living within their means. Second, they will want to know if an individual has failed to comply with rules especially involving government-related debts, such as taxes and student loans. They will thoroughly review an applicant’s background to ensure that all debts have been paid or are on established payment plans and to determine whether any delinquencies were the applicant’s fault.
